Out of Print Books from Murphy: #2 Collected Works of Alex Elmsley books #2 Vernon Chronicles book Ambitious Card Omnibus - Daryl An Enchanted Evening - Kenton Knepper Annals of Conjuring - Sidney W. These days out of print books are a lot less likely to get reprinted because DVD's are easier and cheaper to make and easier to store and ship.
It's expensive to have the printer do a run of books and some of the publishers don't want to tie their money up that way anymore. If a book to a year to finish a run the first time, how long till you make your money back on the second run?

Also, just because you have a list of people who say they will buy it doesn't mean everybody who says they want it will immediately go out and purchase your book. Magic consumers are very fickle that way. I've heard that both L&L and Kaufman won't be doing any reprints anytime soon. That's just a rumor since neither Lou nor Richard told me personally but I'd believe it. A-1 isn't likely to publish anything new much less re-publish anything anytime soon. I don't think Mike ever really recovered after Murphy split off. I guess it's up to Stephen up at Hermetic and Mike Caveney and a few other independent publishers to keep the good books coming.

I think a list can be as long and go as far back as people request. Obviously, some books are just history and some publishers have reasons to not reprint, but if I was a publisher and I saw a demand for a book in the marketplace, I would at least reconsider. Also, some books don't cost as much to reprint as others, and while I love DVDs (I am a post-production video editor by day) they cannot replace a good, well detailed book.
I just received an email from Stephen Minch who helped me understand why this may or may not be practical. That's when I thought of the forum and the sheer number of users and posts like Tielie above who are always looking for a reprint or used copy. I have pestered Richard Kaufman as well on some of his publications. I still think a special forum could allow us to vote or add your name or something.and to respond to Cruise above, I don't mind paying the premium on a used book at eBay, but again, some books will just never pop up again. I did just pay $60 for Burger's Spirit Theater. Vbulletin Download Manager Plugin Firefox.
