Hello, Officially NX 10 is not supported on Windows 10, nevertheless it seems to run, but no guarantees. Not sure if you are trying to install the License server of the NX software. The license server you are trying to install in Ver 6.x.
This cannot be installed on Windows 8 and thus also not on Windows 10. (this is the version shipped with NX 10.0) Therefor you must separately download the latest version from our website. Version 7.x and later is certified for Windows 8 (and will also work on Windows 10, although not (yet) ceritfied). Select here on the left, 'Siemens PLM Licensing' -->Product updates -->Installs and here the prefered version. After installing the license server, continue with the next step in your screenshot.
This runs fine for me, so it should be possible to install. You might want to manually start the setup files in the same directory are where the launch.exe is located. Hope this helps. Datadirect Connect Jdbc Driver Microsoft Sql Server here.
Kind regards, Dennis. Hello, Although this option was written for an older version, please try the following: • Open Windows Explore and navigate to the location of the SPLMLicenseServer_v6.4.2_win64_setup.exe.
(or 7.2 in this case) - Right click on SPLMLicenseServer_v6.4.2_win64_setup.exe and select Properties. - Select the 'Compatibility' tab. - Check the box 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' - On the pull down menu, select 'Windows 7' - Select 'OK' Execute SPLMLicenseServer_v6.4.2_win64_setup.exe and the license server • Reference • Make sure the image, SPLMLicenseServer_v6.4.2_win64_setup.exe, is local to the Windows 2012 R2 system. If SPLMLicenseServer_v6.4.2_win64_setup.exe is on a mapped drive, the desired compatibility change will not behave as expected.
The CPU definitely supports the NX instruction set, but it could be disabled in your BiOS. Check to see if there are any options that suggest enabling it. If you cannot find any, try upgrading your BiOS version. That might solve your issue. NOTE: Be aware that changing BiOS settings might make your system unstable or in some cases even damage your hardware. Never change settings that you do not know what they are for.
If the BiOS upgrade process fails, your computer will be made unusable. Always upgrade your BiOS on a stable source of power and never turn the PC off, if the upgrade process fails. Perform the above steps at your own risk or ask somebody that can do those steps for you. Castells The Internet Galaxy Pdf Files more.
Thanks for the warning and the caution about updating it to Windows 10. I tried to upgrade it to Windows 10 and same issue with RoelofCazant it did not work at all. It said, 'You cannot install Windows 10 because your processor does not support NX.'
I have to agree with you that I do not want to risk my changes in upgrading it to Windows 10 and then my hardware messes everything up my computer or laptop entirely. If I go back to Windows 7 after experimenting Windows 10, it will probably mess everything up and the problem will turn worse. I think I should stay on Windows 7 and leave it the way it is without risking in changing the system. It is too risky for me to upgrade to Windows 10 and then it will probably damage my computer.
