It was 2 weeks until the summer solstice; standing together on the verandah, looking out across the beautiful wildflowers in the summer breeze Mark suddenly struck by an idea, turned to me and said, “we should do something for the summer solstice.” Over 2 years later, this book has become perhaps the first and only compilation of its kind. What started as an idea, turned into a remarkable journey of discovery which has transported us to destinations we never knew existed. Through over a year of solid research, we uncovered the traces of a universal and cosmic spirituality of epic proportions, pulling together sacred sites, texts, symbols, myths and legends from around the world, and finding to our amazement the code that links and unlocks them all.

Whilst I was poring through ancient texts and sites, Mark was analyzing the information from his own experience and knowledge of the process of enlightenment. As the fragments started piecing together, what emerged was a spirituality found in the movements of the sun and stars, imbued in the fabric of life, which outlined the process and journey to enlightenment that has been described by ancient sacred texts and teachings through the world. This is such an amazing book (and I look forward very much to the hard copy coming out very soon) – like everyone has said, the information contained has for me revived and opened my eyes to the connection of the sun, the cosmos, the earth, nature, the divine to ourselves. I remember hearing Mark talk about how everything around us has been created for our awakening, but to actually see this relation take place in those cosmic events of the Solstices and Equinoxes throughout the year, and their relation to the spiritual path has been a whole other game.

What I am so thankful for is the knowledge that Mark has been passing on about the esoteric meaning of these events – now so much of the ancient sites start to make sense, their purpose and how interconnected they are all around the world. I don’t think there are that many people who are not affected by the sight of the Moais, the Sphinx of Egypt, the Great pyramids, Stonehenge, and so forth – their symbology speaks to us but we lost the understanding or the ability to understand what they say to us, but thanks to Mark’s knowledge it is now coming back for all to grasp once again. We are living an incredible time – this knowledge could have almost never resurfaced and I am incredibly thankful that the light is piercing again through the darkness with this book.

From what I understand, the spiritual “son” ie, Jesus, Horus, etc, is not exactly what we are as a normal human being, ie, the consciousness that we have manifesting in the here and now is not this son, but something more incipient? Have I understood this correctly?

If that is true, then “what” are we in terms of the ancient traditions? (If we are not “Horus” in the ancient Egyptian stories, in there any reference to the person trying to achieve that level?) I hope that makes sense. I understand we are the children of our divine parents, spiritually speaking, but it also seems we are something different to the Horus/Jesus/Quetzalcoatl, although if we progress far along enough we can incarnate that part of ourselves. Thanks for the book it is an excellent resource. It’s fantastic to have access to another e-book. Being involved in a ceremony to celebrate these events is just amazing. Our very first ceremony on a rocky outcrop by the sea attracted (I’m sure not by coincidence) a huge pod of whales travelling down the coast – arriving at the very spot we were celebrating just as the sun began to rise.

More recently, the night before our dawn ceremony, the night sky formed the most esoteric of symbols which remained for quite some time. These are truly magical ceremonies and one does feel connected to spiritual times and events of the ancient past. It was really inspiring when each of these articles and ceremonies came out.

Having these amazing groundbreaking works all together in one book with such a fantastic cover, I feel like this book could really gain some momentum and have a solid impact on the world. I have personally learned, gained, and experienced so much thanks to your work uncovering the significance of the solstices and equinoxes and how to celebrate them. Your work in this has helped me to understand deeper and experience the personal journey of enlightenment, the timelessness of the process and principles of the journey, and how these principles are imbued in life and creation itself. Having this information about the Solstices and Equinoxes, and how to appreciate and celebrate them properly, is very special to me. Your journey to discover all of this information sounds so inspiring, too! I have a very strong impression of being younger, and studying about the ruins of ancient civilizations, and hearing about their creation stories and myths, and just being left with this sense of wonder.

Looking at structures like Stonehenge or the pyramids in Egypt, and imagining the people who must have built them, it seemed so strange to oftentimes hear their stories or spiritual beliefs trivialized, like you mentioned as simple sun worshiping. I always wondered what more they knew, if they were able to manifest such complex structures that lasted for thousands of years. Now, after using the information that you’ve uncovered and experiencing these ceremonies first hand, it’s given me very personal answers to some of the things I used to wonder about.

And I’ve certainly gotten a much deeper appreciation and feeling of awe for the intricate structure and organization of the universe, and how all of this points towards the task of awakening. Most incredible of all is that not only does the premise make so much sense, as the sun is such a universally venerated symbol, but that there’s an inner experience that can take place with the celebration of the sun on its passage. Particularly with our last ceremony (summer solstice), which Michelle and I celebrated in a park somewhere in Michigan, I learned some really valuable information about myself in our arduous and difficult hike to the spot where we finally watched the sunrise. Then during the actual sunrise, understanding and information seemed to ‘flow’ in as the sun was rising, giving understanding of fire and its meaning, why we light fires to celebrate the divine (sun), and other intuitive information that I don’t remember anymore, but that I remember the experience of.
