Hey man, saw the same video from Jack and wanted to try DX over Fraps which I had been using. I got everything setup on my Win 7 machine but have since upgraded to Win 10 and had the same problem you mentioned. Once there click on the compatibility tab, check 'Run this Program in compatibility mode for:' and change it to Windows 7 (at least thats what worked for me). Hit OK and then run the program as normal. Hope this helps!

Install Matrox Codec Vfw Store Locations. Exit Matrox VFW Software Codecs, build in your computer. Click Start and click Control Panel. Click Add or Remove Programs. Hope this helps! Ugh I am sorry that I am super late to answer this lol. But if you still need help with this issue, here is the solution.
After you install matrox 2.0, go to you C: drive and click on 'Program Files' Then go to 'Matrox VFW Software Codecs' then click on 'System64' ('System32' if on a 32 bit system) and try to run 'mveVfwCodecConfig' If it does not run and gives 'Missing mfcu100.dll' then that is why it will not show up this is the reason why it will not show up. To fix this, Install for 32 and 64 bit (only 32 if you are on a 32 bit system).
