Install One Drive For Business
I'm setting up a new PC with Office 365 for a new user. This is only the second time we have done this, but I don't remember having this trouble the first time. I logged into Office.com and ran the Office 365 installer, but OneDrive for Business doesn't seem to install properly. I found a Fix-It at, which tells me that Office 2013 is already installed and must be removed before 2016 can be installed. But this is a fresh install of Windows 10 and has never had Office on it before. I uninstalled Office 365, and ran the Fix-It again, which installed OneDrive, but then it still tells me that 2013 is installed again.
When I try to run OneDrive, it has the proper URL, but tells me I need to use the latest OneDrive application to sync files. I can download the setup with the link it provides, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
I can save files to the OneDrive account within Word. I just did this on a laptop for the same user and everything works right, so I'm not sure what is up with the desktop. I created a new user account which despite all the Microsoft Prompts I made unconnected to any Microsoft Account and then was after a bit of fiddling around able to get OneDrive for Business Office 2016 to download and synch. Then I was able to add the original user's personal OneDrive account afterwards.
